Creation of Waka Wānanga

From the Driver’s Seat to Digital Kōrero: How It All Began

It started with a simple video from my car just me, reflecting on a leadership behaviour I had observed. That one kōrero led to another, and then another. Before long, I found myself in a rhythm where the conversation flowed naturally, and sharing became a habit.

A Space to Deload and Reflect

I quickly realised that these kōrero were more than just reflections, they were a way to deload my mind. Whether it was a situation I’d witnessed or a powerful coaching conversation, speaking it out loud helped me process and make sense of it all.

Recording these moments became a regular practice. And then I wondered: Who else might find value in this?

To My Surprise… People Were Listening

I was genuinely surprised by the response. Comments and questions started coming in. But what struck me most was how many people resonated with the topics I was sharing. These weren’t just my thoughts anymore, they were sparking connection, reflection, and conversation in others.

Creating a Space for Growth and Challenge

Waka Wānanga has become more than a platform for me to kōrero. It’s a space where others can connect, reflect, and challenge the beliefs or behaviours they’ve been silently tolerating. Through shared stories, pātai (questions), and practical tools, I invite you to explore new ways of thinking and being.

Join the Waka Wānanga Journey

I share new kōrero weekly on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Follow along, like, comment, and share, because you never know who might need to hear something that shifts their perspective. Some have even said it’s been life-changing.
